Every restaurant the owners wrote on our map turned out to be exactly right, and breakfast in the courtyard — warm pastries, real juice — set the pace for six slow days.

We started in a street-side room and the tram rumble ran past midnight; the courtyard-side move on night two changed everything, so insist on it upfront.
