The best sleep in Rome, engineered not charmed
- Good
- Soundproofed windows and serious blackout curtains delivered the only full nights I've had in this city, and the 8am walk to the Vatican Museums beat the coaches by a full hour.
- Bad
- It's polished rather than lovable — no ivy, no wobble, no story — and the in-house restaurant is a competent hedge you'll use exactly once.
- Verdict
- Business travelers and museum-first visitors should pay up gladly; romantics chasing trattoria-and-cobblestones Rome belong across the river.
