At 5,036m, the mountain doesn't owe you colors
- Good
- The final ridge at that altitude is a real achievement, the crew handed out coca tea like medics, and when the cloud tore open for five minutes the stripes were genuinely surreal.
- Bad
- 3:30am pickup, six hours of van, and hail muting the colors for most of our window — plus a summit viewpoint operating at festival density by 10am. No refunds from the weather.
- Verdict
- Acclimatized trekkers who accept the gamble should go and consider the horse no shame; anyone expecting the saturated poster photo on a day-two whim is buying a lottery ticket.
