Stay for the lobby. Sleep literally anywhere else.
- Good
- The fern-hung courtyard and block-long balconies really are the postcard, and a nightcap in the lobby bar is a genuinely grand half hour.
- Bad
- Our 'renovated' room had a wheezing AC unit and walls that relayed a bachelorette party in full dramatic detail until 3am, with Bourbon Street on bass duty underneath.
- Verdict
- Photograph it, drink in it, then sleep in the Garden District; the name on the awning is doing all the heavy lifting and the beds know it.
